FIELDS OF RESEARCH
This sector conducts research with regard to the development of multispectral vision systems using state of the art algorithms of image processing, as well the creation of imaging tools using organic materials and organic printed electronics.
The main sector research areas focus on the development of new photosensitive structures of a wide material range (In, As, Sb, Al, Ga, Bi, Tl, P), operate in UV, SWIR, MWIR and LWIR spectral ranges, and create photodetectors and entire systems on their basis by molecular beam epitaxy method (MBE).
The sector also develops new optical infrared systems using diamond turning methods, and new technologies such as diamond-like and anti-reflection coatings.
Technology of “cold” cathodes and microminiature microwave devices based on them;
Microwave heating technology (drying and processing of raw materials, disinfection, industrial microwave installation for different purposes);
Technology superpower microwave devices for linear accelerators;
Development and implementation of cleaner technologies for the production of dense ceramic vacuum devices.
Development and introduction of radar and radar sensors for a wide variety of applications (search and rescue and offshore funds, commercial radar for boats, yachts, small aircraft facilities, automotive radar systems, unmanned transport etc);
Development and implementation
of safety management systems (stadiums, railway stations, airports, shopping malls);
Applied spectroscopy systems
(control of technological processes, “electronic nose,”. . . );
Radio-electronic devices and equipment for medicine.
Micro and Nano
Technology for high-temperature semiconductors and catalytic thermal MEMS gas sensors;
Printing technology of electrochemical power sources based on lithium, and fotoconductor proton solid electrolytes that are integrated with microelectronic devices;
The technology of applying protective coating for precision cutting solutions;
Accelerometer sensor for inertial navigation systemsand the mini-atomic clocks on LTCC.
Technology of designing and manufacturing radio frequency micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS);
Technology of engineering and manufacturing of a wide class of integrated microwave circuits based on gallium arsenide and wideband semiconductors for wireless communications systems and telecommunications;
Radio-frequency photonic technologies.
